Welcome to Little Redmond Preschool & Daycare!
Hello and welcome. I am so glad you are here. Little Redmond is more than a daycare or preschool program. It is a warm, inviting place where children feel at home, families feel supported, and every child is encouraged to grow in their own special way.
This community means a lot to us. My husband works in tech, and our two children go to school right here in Redmond. I have worked in early childhood education for more than seven years. I hold a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy and have spent time as a preschool teacher and an elementary school para-educator in the Lake Washington School District.
When I became a parent myself, I realized how hard it was to find early care that truly fit our family. I wanted something small and personal. I wanted a place where my child would get plenty of one-on-one attention, where meals could be adjusted to our needs, and where activities could be shaped by what my child was curious about. Many places we looked at were either too large to offer that kind of care or were simply out of reach for our budget. That is why I started Little Redmond. I wanted to create a program that combined the best of both worlds. It has the close-knit feel and flexibility of a family home, while still meeting high standards for safety, learning, and quality.
At Little Redmond, my first priority is to create a place where your child feels safe, happy, and truly cared for. I want them to come in each day knowing this is a space made just for them, where they are seen and valued.
I believe every child is wonderfully unique. They each have their own way of exploring the world, whether it is through building, painting, asking questions, or quietly observing. I take the time to notice what excites each child. I shape our days around their interests and needs, always offering new experiences that encourage them to learn in the way that feels most natural.
Our days are filled with hands-on activities, stories, playful moments, and time outdoors. Being outside is especially important to me. Children grow stronger and more confident when they can run, balance on logs, watch bugs crawl by, or simply breathe in the fresh air. Nature has a way of teaching lessons that a classroom alone cannot.
This is not a program that follows a strict formula. I draw from many approaches so I can adapt to what each child needs. I see myself as a guide, creating an inviting environment and gently supporting your child as they discover new things at their own pace.
What matters most is that your child feels joyful and secure, and that together we nurture their curiosity and love for learning. I look forward to being part of your child’s early years and to building a warm partnership with your family.
I know that trusting someone else with your child is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make. I want you to feel just as comfortable and welcome here as your child does. Open, honest communication is at the heart of what we do. I will keep you updated on your child’s day, their small victories, and all the little moments that make this time so special.
Thank you for considering Little Redmond Preschool & Daycare. I would love the chance to meet you, learn about your family, and see if this is the right place for your child to grow and thrive.
